Grey matter

Grey Matter plays an important role in my life.

My grandfather was diagnosed with end-stage liver cancer that later spread to his brain. The man who had always believed in me, pushed me to pursue a career in STEM, and inspired much of my success; could no longer recognize me. When he passed away, I knew his memory had to mean more than just loss.

That’s when Grey Matter entered my life. Honestly, it showed up in my inbox in a newsletter I rarely checked. One day, I did.

I founded chapters at my high school and college, and now serve on the Yale Grey Matter E-Board, helping to shape neuroscience education for students around the world. My work ensures that neuroscience isn’t just for pre-meds, it’s accessible to engineers, creators, and anyone who wants to make a positive impact in healthcare.

As a member of the Yale Grey Matter E-Board, I help lead all undergraduate chapters worldwide. Together, we’ve grown Grey Matter’s impact across 3 continents, welcomed 150+ members, built 50+ active chapters, and presented our work at the American Academy of Neurology Conference.

Founder, President of 1st Undergrad Chapter @ Rutgers University

At the Piscataway District, I didn’t just introduce neuroscience education—I built an entire research department exposing students to research as early as 13, secured $5,000+ in grassroots fundraising (no “rich uncles,” just hustle), and organized funded trips to Yale Medical School. This foundation became a pipeline for students to explore research and healthcare opportunities beyond the classroom.

Founder, President @ Piscataway District

I’ve built programs that move from campus to global impact—organizing hackathons, pitch competitions, and innovation accelerators in partnership with Yale School of Medicine and Rutgers University. My work empowers the next generation of builders, creating ecosystems where students don’t just learn skills—they launch startups, publish research, and drive policy conversations. I believe leadership means more than holding a seat—it means creating opportunities for others.
