service
For me, service isn’t just about giving. It’s about responsibility.
Growing up, I saw how communities can rally together to create hope where it feels impossible.
Charity is the most powerful bridge between privilege and purpose. Service grounds me, reminds me of my values, and pushes me to build solutions that go beyond myself.

Project Pantree
Food insecurity is not just about empty plates, it’s about opportunity, health, and dignity. In Hudson County alone, 10% of residents (over 73,000 people) struggle to access enough food. The effects are especially devastating for young people: 74% of educators report students coming to school hungry, and 67% of students (nearly 59,000 children) rely on free or reduced lunch, making Hudson County the second-highest in New Jersey. Hunger impacts focus, academic performance, and long-term health, perpetuating cycles of poverty. Combating food insecurity means ensuring that every child has the foundation to learn, grow, and thrive, because no student should have to choose between their education and their next meal.

Hayat [3x National Winner]
Hayat was a MIST NJ campaign initiative in partnership with Islamic Relief USA, where we designed and executed a fundraising campaign to address global humanitarian crises. Through grassroots outreach and community-driven efforts, we raised over $3,000 to support relief for Palestine’s humanitarian disaster, the Pakistan flooding crisis, and Afghanistan’s ongoing humanitarian needs. Hayat embodied the spirit of service, mobilizing young people to turn compassion into tangible impact, and earned first place at the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament 3 years in a row, both on a state and national level.
