I don’t just show up at Rutgers. I lead it. Driving technical teams, building products, and scaling ideas that move fast and break the mold.

Road to Silicon Valley

Road to Silicon Valley is a selective innovation and leadership program that brings together top Rutgers students to collaborate on entrepreneurial ventures and connect with leaders in tech and business. Within the program, I pitched Elysian, my wearable nanotech clothing line designed for individuals with skin conditions, at multiple university-wide competitions, including Scarlet Pitch/the Hult Prize, and Rutgers Shark Tank. As CEO and founder, I led a cross-functional team of four across tech, design, and marketing, advancing as a Top 10 finalist out of 50+ teams at Scarlet Pitch. Road to Silicon Valley gave me the platform to refine Elysian’s business model, receive critical feedback on scalability and sustainability, and develop fluency in blending engineering insight with venture strategy, all while being one of the youngest student entrepreneurs in the program.

RU Entrepreneurial Society

As a member of the Rutgers Entrepreneurial Society, I participated in TechStart, a hands-on initiative where student teams conceptualize, design, and pitch new ventures. I co-founded and pitched RealFit, a social fitness app that motivates users through 15-second daily challenges and community-driven engagement. I conducted user interviews, tested prototypes, and refined product-market fit, ultimately delivering a developer-ready mockup in Figma. My design focused on component reusability, responsive auto-layout, and fluid user transitions powered by Smart Animate, while applying Tailwind UI and ShadCN design principles to ensure scalability. The Rutgers Entrepreneurial Society provided a collaborative space to experiment with product design, sharpen my technical skills, and bring a user-centered venture from concept to pitch.

Undergrad Alliance of Computer Scientists Tech Intern

As a Tech Intern, I led technical development workshops ranging from introductory programming to applied machine learning, helping students gain hands-on skills outside the classroom. I organized and supported mini-hackathons and coding activities tailored for diverse communities, including initiatives for Women in STEM, to make CS more inclusive and approachable. In addition to teaching, I provided technical support for USACS programs and events, ensuring smooth execution and engaging learning experiences. This role strengthened my ability to lead technical education, mentor peers, and build inclusive spaces for innovation within Rutgers’ largest CS community.

Muslims in Tech Projects Board

As part of Muslims in Tech, I helped plan and execute hackathons where students built technology addressing broad challenges as well as themes rooted in Islamic principles, such as ethical finance, community health, and sustainability. I co-led workshops on technical skills and professional development, including coding sprints, resume reviews, and project-based sessions designed to equip students with the tools to thrive in tech. Alongside the technical side, I helped organize cultural events that celebrated the diversity of Muslim backgrounds, from Pakistani and Indian chai nights to showcases of hundreds of Muslim cultures represented on campus. Through these initiatives, I worked to create a space where Muslim students could innovate, connect, and succeed with resources and events tailored to both their professional growth and cultural identity.
